Whistler to Vancouver – 16 October 2022
We moved the RV to Peace Arch RV park for what we thought was 3 days, while we returned by car to Victoria to close down our dog wash store.
What ensued was a flurry of activities. We expected to complete the store in 2 days and it took us 4 days. I had severe tooth ache and ended up the dentist for an emergency visit which resulted in a root canal. I then spent the rest of the week in a lot of pain, got referred to an endodentist who injected the tooth with anti-inflammatories and told me to come back the following Wednesday for a second root canal. I was not a happy camper.
The fridge saga continued – shipping was delayed so we were still not sure when it would arrive and when Fraserway would fit us in to get it fixed. We gave up on planning as all our reservations kept on changing. The toilet part we ordered was also delayed and had not arrived in Whistler yet.
The one positive was that we managed to have some quality time with family and friends, enjoyed a belated Thanksgiving dinner, had a pre birthday celebration with Cay, and also squeezed in coffee with friends.
As we neared Tuesday, my temperamental tooth seemed to be settling down. Not wanting to aggravate it further I hoped for the best and cancelled the appointment. We also got news that the fridge part had arrived and Fraserway had found a spot for us to do the work. Also, we managed to source another toilet part here in Victoria. We were ready to move on.
We left for Vancouver Thursday and back to our RV in Peace Arch RV park. After dropping the RV at Fraserway on Friday we went to a couple of Warehouses in Vancouver to prepare a couple of dog wash machines for delivery, and stayed the night in a hotel in Abbotsford.
Saturday we collected our RV, spent a weekend finalizing some of our forthcoming RV stays and started preparations for the next leg of the journey to the States.
