About Us
We started this website to provide a travel blog documenting our journey. We will talk about places we visit, people we meet and also share the many lessons we are learning along the way about travelling with pets and living and working full-time in an RV.
Meet the Rutherfords
We are Derek and Evelyn Rutherford. Both adventurers at heart who love to travel and explore new places. Derek was born in Scotland and grew up in Australia. I was born in England and grew up in South Africa. We met in South Africa and after getting married decided to emigrate to Canada. We have three children and a grandson. In 2005 we decided to take a year off, buy a yacht and sail in the Caribbean. Having spent the year on water, we decided our next adventure would be on land. In September 2021 we sold our house in Victoria, British Columbia, and bought a Fifth wheel. We are now travelling across North America with our dog Jax and cat Minnie Min (now deceased.) As we travel, we continue to run our business “Furever Clean Dog Wash” which is a Canadian pet wash distributorship.
