Victoria to Coquihalla – 15 June 2022
We had planned to leave Victoria and head straight for Lake Country, overnighting halfway at Coquihalla. As it turned out, as things do …. we did not manage to complete all the stuff we needed to for the Furever Clean dog wash shipment, so we had to stop overnight in Vancouver instead. The plan was to stay over at the Capilano RV resort in Vancouver and for Derek to drive to Surrey from there in the afternoon, to complete one of the dog wash machines, and then drive to one of our customers (Mr Pets) to fix a problem they were having with their machine. Well of course we didn’t factor in the traffic. We could only get into our site at Capilano at 2pm and by the time Derek managed to get to Surrey they were closing. He ended up staying in a hotel nearby overnight just so he could complete what he needed to do and get back to Capilano before we had to vacate the spot at 11am the next day.
In the meantime, Jo arrived to collect her laptop that she had left accidentally when she visited the previous weekend. We had some tea and chatted. Then I took Jax for a long walk around the ocean marvelling at the wonderful views of the Lions gate bridge and the water.
Next day while I was walking Jax I noticed a pet photographer van in the park. The photographer arrived home just when I was there so I asked him to take some pictures of Minnie min. He was in the middle of taking them and Derek arrived back. Sean (the photographer) took some great shots and Im really glad I was able to do this while she is still looking happy and healthy.
The trip from Capilano to Coquihalla was uneventful and not too long. Coquihalla Campsite looked like a provincial park but had all the utilities we needed and a good sized lot. Lots of trees and greenery, on the edge of the Coquihalla River which was pretty full. We took Jax for a nice walk around the river and the RV park before settling in for the evening.
