Antigonish, Nova Scotia
Dates: 26-27 June, 2023. 3 September, 2023, 22-23 September, 2023.
When you enter the campground there are several mobile homes on either side (perhaps rented cottages?) The site was well maintained and grassed and there was a river that runs on the side of the campground with a wooden bridge leading to another campground area on the other side of the river. There was a pool on both sides of the river. Hosts were friendly.
As you exit the campground you are immediately at the beginning of the main road of their downtown area which has a number of shops and restaurants.
Not many attractions in the Antigonish area. We did do a nice walk along Antigonish Trail and also drove up Cape George to Ballantine’s cove which was a nice drive. Antigonish has a very large university – Francis Xavier which has the only Starbucks in town.
The campsite was a good size, no problem with utilities and it was grassed. We wouldn’t have a problem staying here again.
