Hopewell Cape to St John, New Brunswick – 28 September 2023
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the campground was at Rockwood. We hadn’t realized that it was 2200 acres of beautiful forest with 10 lakes and 55 trails. There was also a very nice restaurant with a deck overlooking Lake Lily just before you get to the campground. Couldn’t pass that one up, so after taking Jax for a walk around the lake we enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks taking in the beautiful scenery as the sun came down.
The following day we got a visit from Simon Lanoix who was staying at St Martin and exploring the area on his bike. Always so nice to see him and chat about our respective adventures. After a coffee at the RV we went downtown to Market Square for lunch. I was hoping to find a Farmer’s market but we didn’t see it so we ended up just having lunch at the Saint John Ale House pub in the Square. The guys opted for the fish and chips and I had a beet salad with chicken.
Later that day I explored more trails with Jax in the park as Derek finished up polishing the outside of the RV.
