North Little Rock, Arkansas to Checotah, Oklahoma – 10 March 2024

We moved on to the Lake Eufaula State Park in Oklahoma for a couple of nights.  We were parked in a section away from the main area which had a few RVs, next to one other RV.  Luckily for us this Park provided full utilities.

As with all the other State Parks we have stayed in, the area was very well maintained and we were surrounded by forest and leaves. It was a nice break after the City where we could decompress, enjoy a fire, and just take walks in the area.

Derek was a little concerned about going too deep into the forest as he had found a red tick crawling on this arm from his sweater, after Tombigbee State Park.  This had immediately prompted me to give Jax his tick and flea medication and a good reminder that this is Tick season so we have to be careful about going into areas with long grass.
