Smithers, British Columbia

Witset is about 20 minutes drive north of Smithers in an Indian Reserve. It is very well taken care of and sits at the top of a hill overlooking the Bulkley valley where there is a roaring river.  The RV site is surrounded by snow capped mountain ranges with breathtaking views. Sites are large and utilities were good.

No amenities like pool, ball courts or dog park, just a kids playground. They have their own Museum on site and next to it, steps leading down to the Witset Canyon.

This area is exceptionally beautiful.  We were hoping to do one of the hikes in the mountains to an area where you could view Blue Lakes but the road to the parking was closed and after walking in the heat for about 1.5 Km, at a steady incline, absolutely swarmed by mosquitoes we returned to car and went to the nearby Smithers brewery instead.

We would definitely come back here again.
