Cottonwood, Arizona

We only chose this park because we were unable to get into Sedona.  Sedona is the major attraction nearby that is worth visiting.

This was a small State park in an area full of Cottonwood trees. It has three lagoons which are very popular for families who come to picnic and fish.  There are trails throughout the park.

The campsites were large with lovely views and trees and plants. There was a host on site. 

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is located adjacent to and across the Verde River from the community of Cottonwood. It is centrally located near several major population centers such as Flagstaff, Sedona, Phoenix, and Prescott.

I would stay here again if I could not get into Sedona.
