KOA Holiday

Flagstaff, Arizona
4-7 November 2025

This Large Park Sits Beneath A Beautiful Mountain Backdrop And Is Bordered On Two Sides By Pine Forests. Several Trails Lead Directly From The Campground Into The Forest, Making It Easy To Head Out For Walks Without Ever Needing To Drive. There’s Also A Spacious Double Dog Park, Divided By Fencing, Which Is Great For Giving Dogs Plenty Of Safe Room To Run. Overall, The Grounds Are Well Maintained.

During our stay, there was quite a bit of construction as the park was adding new patios alongside many RV sites — likely to create upgraded or premium sites in the future. Our own site was fine, shaded beneath a cottonwood tree, though things felt a bit tight once another RV pulled in beside us. Utilities, however, were all in good working order.

Unfortunately, Flagstaff was very smoky while we were there. Controlled burns in the surrounding forests are quite common, and while necessary, they can affect air quality significantly.

The campground is conveniently located on the main road and close to downtown Flagstaff, as well as to nearby attractions such as historical ruins, a meteor site, volcanic areas, and wildlife parks — several of which we didn’t get to visit this time.

Despite the smoke, we would stay here again, as the campground itself was pleasant and well situated — ideally during a time when the air is clearer.
