Osoyoos to Surrey via Rosedale, British Columbia – 7 October 2024

Rosedale, British Columbia
7 October 2024

The road from Osoyoos to Rosedale was quite long, and through a number of mountain passes and several towns that were full of fruit orchards. As we entered Rosedale, the mist was already in and we found a spot in Camperland, a very large park with a number of different pools and slides. Obviously the place to be for small kids in the summertime. We settled in for the evening and were up early to visit three of Mr Pets stores – Mission, Chiliwack and Abbotsford, to do servicing and videos. While Derek busied himself at the machine, Jax and I walked around the store taking photos and went for walks in the neighbourhood. A busy day but we got some good footage at least.

Back to Peace Arch RV Resort. Probably the 3rd or 4th time here. Its a lovely time of year to be in Surrey as there are many Blueberry farms in full bloom. Fields and fields of bright red trees stand out in the overcast weather. The Resort take a lot of pride in their garden which is very nicely landscaped and has a number of garden statues. They had all their Halloween decorations out with several giant sized “scary” figures who would come alive in turns and give some sort of haunted message. Jax was not impressed.

We had a couple of days to visit and video more customers and managed to visit a number of pet stores, RCMP dog training division, the warehouse where we store our K9000 and an apartment building with one of our machines. Productive few days but very tiring with all the traffic.

Jo arrived the final night in Surrey and we all left early the next day to go to the Ferry to go back to Victoria. We had made it in time for Thanksgiving and to settle in for the Winter while we plan our next journey.
