Tok, Alaska to Beaver Creek, Yukon – 3 September 2024

The road from Tok to Beaver Creek was fairly long but not as bad as we had remembered. The scenery was gorgeous with the sides of the road filled with small white flowers instead of the Fireweed we had seen coming in, which was now dying off. The roads were lined with yellow trees and the fields beyond that with red flowering ground cover with black spruce dotted in between. This against a backdrop of white rivers, pale brown sand and green, brown and snowcapped mountains.

Customs went without a hitch and before we knew it we were back in Canada again. Sad to be leaving Alaska but at the same time glad we had left when we did as the weather was turning.

We stayed once again at the Yukon Discovery centre and as there was nothing really to do in the area we utilized the time to catch up on work. Jax enjoyed it as there was the long green airstrip that he could run on.
