Vanderhoof to Burns Lake, British Columbia – 13 June 2024
Our next stop was 50 kms south of Burns Lake at Takysie Lake. To get there we had to cross Francois Lake with a vehicle ferry. While this was quite a remote area, we had a great spot looking right across the lake. The campground was a little run down but the owners were very friendly and they offered a small store and restaurant.
Day two and the weather was still crappy and raining. Derek got busy with RV maintenance and I focused on work. After driving so much, we were just happy to stay in one place and admire the view. We did try out the restaurant on the second night which turned out to be better than we expected, especially as they had some watermelon mojitos.
